Maggie Worsdale: Felix Truex Pianist
Felix Truex - Pianist
Felix Truex found the piano at the age of three, at which time he was labeled a prodigy and was evaluated by an Internationally acclaimed musicologist in Philadelphia. He hasn't left the piano bench since. Felix went on to win the Garden State Arts Center Talent Expo Award and the New Jersey Governor's Award for Musical Excellence. Upon graduation, he became renowned professionally as a performer, composer and arranger of music. Felix is a member of both the American Society of Composers and Performers (ASCAP) and the Manhattan Association of Clubs and Cabarets (MAC). An Associate Organist and Choral Director at Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church in Spring Lake and former Vice President of The Shrewsbury Chorale, Felix has been recognized frequently for his Charitable contributions in the field of music. When not performing, Felix volunteers on the Scholarship Committee of the Monmouth Arts Council and serves as Vice President of Cabaret For Life, a not for profit Charitable organization. He also sits on the board of the South Street Players, a local theater company in Freehold, NJ and musically directs the Spring production at Mater Dei High School in Middletown, NJ. Felix views his musical abilities as gifts - and what better way to show appreciation for gifts than to share them with others.
